The Pack of 2 Efest 18650 Batteries In Brief

Two loose rechargeable batteries in one pack, £6.99. The size is called 18650, which is just its measurements: about 18mm across and 65mm tall. People in the trade call them cells, and so will this page.

Look at a cell and you will notice this much straight away:

Flat on top. No raised nipple at the positive end.

No board inside. Nothing in the cell watching over it.

Sold as two. That is deliberate, and section five explains why.

An Efest 18650 Batteries Pack of 2 goes into a device that takes its batteries out, not one with the battery built in. If a customer can unscrew a door and drop a cell in, this is for them. If their vape charges by cable and never opens, it is not.

We hold 833 packs, which makes an Efest IMR 18650 Battery the one cell of this size we can send out today.

Twenty Amps, Not Thirty Five

Our own listing has said 35A for years. We are correcting that here, because two people who test these for a living measured something lower.

Amps are how fast a battery can give its power away. Ask for more than a cell can give and it gets hot. That is why the number matters more than any other figure on the page.

Printed on our listing 35A

Mooch, bench tested 2020 20A four cells measured 2,878 to 2,988mAh

HKJ, bench tested 2017 15A 20A called no problem in his 2016 test

Mooch wrote that the 35A figure "is useless and can be ignored" and settled on 20A. HKJ, testing the same purple cell, got about 15A and wrote "Oops, Efest has a typo" beside the 35A claim.

Doubt it for a second reason as well. No maker anywhere rates a 3000mAh cell of this size above 30A, and that one is a special high power cell. The two best known 3000mAh cells, from Samsung and from Sony, are both rated 15A. A jump to 35A would beat all of them by a wide margin.

So where does 35A come from? It is a burst figure. The UK Health and Safety Executive tested vape cells and found that "most cells showed greater capacities during pulsed discharge than during continuous discharge". Short bursts flatter a battery. Steady use does not.

Provenance: (b) the 20A and 15A figures come from independent bench testers, not from us and not from Efest. (a) the pulse finding is from the HSE report on vape battery testing, published on gov.uk.

So work to 20 amps. Here is the sum that matters. A mod running one cell at 100 watts pulls roughly 27 amps from it, which is too much. The same 100 watts from two cells pulls about 13 amps from each, which is comfortable. That is the real argument for a two cell device, and almost nobody explains it.

Nothing Guarding The Cell

Some cells have a tiny circuit board tucked under one end. It cuts the power if things go wrong. These do not have one, and the listing says so plainly: protection circuit, no.

That sounds worse than it is. For a box mod it is the right choice, for three reasons.

The board limits the current. It often caps a cell far below what a mod wants to draw, so the vape cuts out mid puff.
The board adds length. A protected cell can run about 4mm longer, and a battery door closes on exact measurements.
In a pair, the boards can trip at different moments. One cell stops, the other does not, and now the pair is uneven.

The safety is supposed to sit in the mod, not in the cell. Any decent regulated device has cut offs built in. The G Priv 4 kit is a good example of that, with a short circuit cut off and a low battery warning on its chip.

Flat top matters for the same reason as length. A raised tip can sit oddly against a contact, or stop a door closing square. Mods are built around flat cells.

Sixteen Devices Here Run On Efest 18650 Batteries

We went through our own listings and read the battery line on each one. Sixteen devices we sell take an 18650. Eight of them take two.

TAKES TWO

SMOK G Priv 4
SMOK G Priv 3
SMOK Mag 18
SMOK H Priv 2
SMOK X Priv
SMOK Morph 3
GeekVape L200 Aegis Legend 2
Vaporesso Armour Max

TAKES ONE

SMOK Mag Solo
Voopoo Drag M100S
Vaporesso Armour S
Oxva Origin 2
Freemax Maxus Solo
GeekVape Aegis Solo
Innokin Z80 Zenith 2
Freemax Marvos X

Every one of those arrives with no cells in it. Not one maker includes them. So each of those sixteen lines is a device you sell with nothing to power it, unless you sell the cells too.

The GeekVape L200 box mod is sold as a bare mod with no tank and no cells, which makes the point about as clearly as it can be made.

Shops Selling Dual Cell Mods Take Efest IMR 18650 Battery Wholesale

Here is the part nobody else puts on a battery page, and it is the whole reason this product comes as a pack of two.

A device with two cells wants them matched. The trade word is married. Everything on this list has to match:

Same make
Same model
Same age, so bought together and first used together
Same charge, so always charged as a pair

Why bother? Because the two cells share the work. If one is older or weaker, it does more than its share, and the HSE put the reason plainly: imbalanced cells "would increase the strain on all cells". The tired one drags the fresh one down with it.

So a pack of two is not a bulk discount. It is the correct unit. One pack feeds one two cell mod, and the pair stays together for life. When one goes, both go.

That gives an Efest IMR 18650 Battery Wholesale order a shape you can count. Look at how many two cell mods you shift in a month, order one pack for each, then add some on top for customers replacing a tired pair. Single cell devices need half a pack each, so two devices share one pack.

This sells in a shop where somebody behind the till knows box mods and can answer a question about a battery. It does not sell in a shop whose vapes all charge by cable, because those customers have nothing to put a loose cell into and will bring it straight back. If you want to see what sits beside it, all our loose cells are on one page.

A Charger Is Not Optional

A loose cell cannot charge itself. Many mods will charge a cell sitting inside them over the cable, but that is the slow way and it warms the device while it does it. A separate charger is better, and it is the only way to charge a spare pair while the first pair is in use.

We hold eighteen of them. Grouped by how many cells they take:

One cell from £2.99

Two cells from £3.00

Four cells from £6.00

A two slot charger is the natural partner for a two cell pack, because the pair charges together and stays level. The Nitecore Ci2 two slot is the one we would put next to this pack on a shelf.

Fire services and battery sellers both say the same two things, so pass them on. Do not leave cells charging overnight or out of sight. And lift them off the charger once they are full, because a charger is not somewhere to keep them.

A Plastic Case, Always

A bare cell in a pocket with keys or loose change can short out. Metal touching both ends is all it takes. A little plastic case costs pennies and stops it, and every customer buying a spare pair should leave with one.

The other thing to watch is the wrap, the coloured plastic skin. If it tears and the metal under it shows, that cell can short against the inside of the mod.

Wrap clean, no marks. Fine to use.

Wrap frayed or split, cell itself sound. Rewrap it. Peel the old one right off first, or the cell grows too fat for the door.

Dented, swollen, leaking, discoloured or hissing. Do not rewrap. Take it out of use and send it for recycling.

Hardly anybody puts that last line in writing. Every guide online tells you how to rewrap a torn cell. None of them tells you when to stop and bin it instead. A new wrap over a damaged cell just hides the damage. Cases, wraps and the other small things shops get through sit under the bits shops reorder.

If a customer tells you their pair dies faster than it used to, that is the batteries getting old rather than a fault in the mod. Change both of them, not one.

Our Battery Shelf Has Gaps

Being straight about our own stock, because it changes how much of this you should take.

Golisi S30 18650 3000mAh, pack of 2 zero

Golisi S25 18650 2500mAh, pack of 2 zero

AWT 18650 3500mAh, pack of 2 zero

Golisi S35 21700 and S32 20700 zero

Five of our six 18650 lines are empty. This pack is the only one we can send you today, against sixteen devices on our own site that need one.

The good side is that we are not going to run out of this one soon. The bad side is that if you wanted two or three different cells to choose from, we cannot do that for you this month. Better you hear it now than when the order goes in.

Five Lines Empty, Efest 18650 Batteries Bulk Is Not

Sizing an Efest 18650 Batteries Bulk order is easier than most things on this site, because the maths comes off your mod sales rather than guesswork.

Work it out like this:

One pack for every two cell mod you expect to sell
Half a pack for every single cell device, so one pack covers two of them
A margin on top for replacements, because a worn pair gets replaced as a pair

Unlike most of what we stock, this has no sell by date hanging over it. There is no liquid inside and no tax on it, since the duty that landed this month falls on liquid rather than hardware. A pack sitting in your stockroom in March is worth what it was in October.

One practical point on getting them to you. Loose cells on their own are not allowed in the post, so they travel by courier rather than Royal Mail. Check that before you promise anyone a posted delivery. And if you are stocking cells you should stock the means to charge them, which is why battery chargers in bulk usually goes on the same order sheet.

What Buyers Check First

1. Is it really 35 amps?
No, and we would rather say so. Two independent testers measured 15A to 20A of steady output. Work to 20. The 35A on the wrap is a short burst figure, not what the cell will give all day. The product name at the top of this page still carries the old number, and that is next on our list to put right.

2. Why does it come as two?
Because a two cell mod needs a matched pair. An Efest 18650 Batteries Pack of 2 keeps them the same make, model and age, which is the safe way to run them.

3. Can a customer use just one of them?
Yes, in a single cell device. But then keep the other one as its partner rather than mixing it with a different cell later.

4. Do I need a charger as well?
Effectively yes. Mods will charge a cell inside them, but slowly, and you cannot charge a spare pair that way. Ours start at £2.99, and most Efest IMR 18650 Battery Wholesale orders leave here with one on the same pallet.

5. What if the wrap gets torn?
Rewrap it if the cell underneath is sound. If it is dented, swollen, leaking or discoloured, take it out of use instead. Never wrap over damage.

6. Is it 3000mAh?
That is the number on the wrap. Independent testing measured just under it, between 2,878 and 2,988 across four cells, so treat 3000 as the headline rather than a promise.

7. Which of your devices does it fit?
Sixteen of them, eight taking a pair. The list is in section four, and an Efest IMR 18650 Battery is the only 18650 we can supply today.

8. Is there tax on these now?
No. The duty from this month is charged on vaping liquid, and there is none in a battery.

9. How many should I start with?
Match it to your box mod sales rather than ordering a round number. For most counters that is a modest first Efest 18650 Batteries Bulk order with a charger beside it, then reorder on what actually moves.
