Pyne Pod Click S 30K prefilled pod kit: the S is the twist

The letter is not decoration. It marks the one thing separating this from every other Pyne device — a mouthpiece you rotate to move between two flavours running at the same time.

Not two pods you swap out. Two pods sitting in the device together, each with its own mesh coil, each drawing independently. Twist and you are on the other one. Twist back and you are not.

Because each side has its own coil, the flavour you are not using is not sitting on a hot coil waiting its turn. That is what stops the two tastes bleeding into each other across the weeks it takes to work through a kit — and it is why the mechanism is mechanical rather than a setting in software.

Battery capacity is quoted differently across the market — some listings state 750mAh and others 900mAh for the same model. Treat the OLED reading as your guide rather than either figure.

How the Pyne Pod Click S 30K compares in its bracket

Thirty thousand puffs is a crowded shelf and most of it is single-flavour. Putting this against the alternatives is the quickest way to work out whether the twist is worth having.

Hyola Ultra 30K — also dual-flavour, also a rotating mouthpiece, and the closest direct comparison. It uses a lift-and-twist action rather than a straight rotation.
Crystal Pro Switch 30K — the other well-stocked option at this capacity, with its own switching mechanism.
The wider 30,000-puff tier — covers the single-flavour devices, which cost less and ask less of you.

None of these share pods with each other. Devices at the same puff rating are not related systems, and the refill you buy has to match the device name rather than the number on the front.

Which refills fit — and this is where it gets useful

Most listings get this wrong, and the truth works in your favour.

The matching refill is the Click S 30K dual-flavour refill pack — the only one that keeps the twist function, because it is the only one that supplies two flavours at once.

But the device also accepts every pod in the Pyne Click range, including the standard single-flavour refills used by the 50K and 10K. Those fit and fire normally; you simply lose the twist, because a single-flavour refill has nothing to switch between.

That matters practically. Pyne Pod Click 50K replacement pods are the deepest-stocked refill in the range and drop straight into this device, which makes them the reliable fallback when the dual-flavour packs are between deliveries.

Going the other way, S 30K pods will physically fit a Click 50K or Click 10K, but the twist does not function on those housings — the device simply draws from whichever pod it reads first.

The fifteen flavour editions

Each edition pairs two complementary flavours in one kit, which is the whole point of the twist. The pairing is fixed by Pyne — you choose the edition, not the individual flavours.

If you are choosing blind, the fruit editions tend to suit all-day use better than the sweeter ones, which are more distinctive on the first draw but tire the palate faster across 18ml.

Both sides drain at their own pace depending on how much time you spend on each. If you strongly prefer one, that pod will finish first and the other will still have liquid in it — normal rather than a fault, and it does not change the 18ml total.

Regular and Boost, and what each costs you

Double-click the button to switch. Regular runs at 10W and is what the 30,000-puff figure is measured against. Boost runs at 20W, giving a warmer, denser draw with more pronounced flavour.

Boost uses liquid faster. Nobody publishes a Boost figure because it depends entirely on how much you use it, but running Boost constantly will land you meaningfully below 30,000. The mode is a preference setting rather than a performance upgrade.

Setting up a kit

Charge the device over USB-C before first use — the OLED shows the level.
Remove all plugs, seals and stickers from both pods and both containers.
Click each 1ml pod onto its matching 8ml container until it seats.
Push both assembled units into the device — the magnetic connectors pull them into place.
Leave it a minute or two so both coils can wick through.
Twist the mouthpiece to whichever flavour you want, then inhale.

Step five is the one that gets skipped. With two coils rather than one, a rushed start means two dry hits instead of one — and a coil fired dry does not always recover fully.
