Introduction to the SMOK G Priv 4 Kit

This is a big device. Not a pen, not a pod, and not something you hand a smoker on their first day. It is a two battery box with a screen on the front, and it goes up to 230 watts.

We hold it in four colours at one price. Grey, Red, Blue and Brown, all £39.00, 423 units on the floor.

What comes in the box:

The mod itself, 90mm tall and 167 grams
A TFV18 Mini tank, 2ml, with a spare glass
Two coils, one already fitted
A USB-C lead and a manual

Two things are missing from that list, and both of them matter to you more than any spec. The first is in the next section.

The Box Has No Cells

Cells are batteries. This one takes two of them, the round sort called 18650, and they are not in the box.

So a shop sells the kit, the customer gets home, and nothing happens. They come back the same day. That is a bad first sale and it is avoidable.

SLOT 1
empty

SLOT 2
empty

Both slots arrive like this. The customer fills them, or you do.

We keep the right sort. Our Efest 18650 cells come two to a pack at £6.99, which is one pack per kit. They are flat on top and carry no little circuit board inside, and that is the kind a box like this wants. A cell with a raised tip can sit badly in the slot, and one with a circuit board can shut itself off when the mod pulls hard.

Add a pack to every kit you order. It turns a £39.00 line into a £45.99 one and it stops the device coming back.

One more thing worth saying out loud. Two loose batteries want a proper charger on the counter rather than the lead in the box. The lead works, but a charger is kinder to the cells and the shop looks like it knows what it is doing.

Mind The Word Mini

Here is the second missing thing, and it is the one nobody else tells you.

The tank on this kit is called the TFV18 Mini. There is also a plain TFV18, a bigger tank. They sound like the same thing. They are not, and their coils do not swap. A Mini coil is built for a narrower tank, so the full size one will not seat properly.

WE DO NOT STOCK THE MINI COIL

We carry 24 SMOK coil lines. None of them is a TFV18 Mini. The TFV18 coils we do hold, 1,756 of them, are for the larger tank and will not fit this one. The box carries two, and once those are gone your customer is hunting elsewhere. We would rather you knew that before you ordered than after.

The two coils you get are a 0.33 ohm mesh, already fitted, and a 0.15 ohm double mesh. A third exists at 0.2 ohm. Each one likes a different power setting, and running the wrong one hot is the usual reason a coil tastes burnt in a week.

0.33 ohm works between 80 and 140 watts, happiest around 100 to 110

0.15 ohm works between 80 and 110 watts, happiest around 90

0.20 ohm works between 40 and 80 watts, happiest around 60

Tell a customer that once and they stop burning coils. If they want the longer version, our guide on when to change coils covers it properly.

Pairing Cells And SMOK G Priv 4 Kit Wholesale

Now the money. A SMOK G Priv 4 Kit Wholesale order is one of the easier ones to work out, because there is only one price and no flavour list to guess at.

UK shops are selling this kit at £54.99 to £59.99. That is the shelf price with VAT in it. Take the VAT out and £54.99 becomes £45.83.

Our price £39.00

Shelf at £54.99, VAT removed £45.83

Gap £6.83 a unit, or £10.99 if they sell at £59.99

Before you lean on that, check one thing with us: whether the £39.00 you are quoted is before VAT or after. The sum above assumes before. Ask, because the answer moves the gap by about six pounds fifty a unit and we would rather you had the real number.

Then add the cells. A pack at £6.99 sold on at the normal shop markup widens the whole thing, and it is the one add-on this device genuinely needs. Sell the kit alone and you have left money on the counter.

Everything else this maker sends us is listed on our bulk SMOK shelf.

Three Rivals Sit Beside The SMOK G Priv 4 Vape Kit

We stock four big SMOK boxes at nearly the same power, and nowhere on our site have we ever said which to pick. So here it is.

H Priv 2, 225 watts ..... £20.00 200 left

X Priv, 225 watts ......... £21.99 300 left

Mag 18, 230 watts ......... £31.00 899 left

▶ G Priv 4, 230 watts .... £39.00 423 left

G Priv 3, 230 watts ....... £41.99 399 left

So the SMOK G Priv 4 Vape Kit is the second dearest of the five, and the watts are the same across the top three. That means power is not the reason to choose it. If a shop only wants the biggest number for the least money, point them at the SMOK Mag 18 230W and keep the customer happy.

The reason to pay the extra eight pounds is the screen and the tank. Both are covered below.

Britain Gets The Small Tank

Look this kit up and you will find two different tank sizes, which is confusing until you know why.

LISTED ABROAD

6.5ml

SOLD HERE

2ml

Same tank, different glass. Two millilitres is all a refillable tank may hold under British law, so the small one is what lands here. American pages keep the 6.5ml figure and that is where the mix up comes from.

For you that is good news, and it is worth saying plainly. The tank on this kit is the legal size. You can put it on the shelf without reading the small print, which is not true of every big tank on the market.

Provenance: (a) that ceiling is written into regulation 36(3) of the 2016 Tobacco and Related Products Regulations.

One knock on effect of a small tank at 230 watts: it empties fast. Reviewers call the tank thirsty and they are right. Since the first of this month every ten millilitres of liquid carries £2.20 of tax, so a customer who fills three times a day is spending more on liquid than they were in September. The device did not get dearer. Their weekly bottle did. We set out the tax per ten millilitres in full elsewhere.

A Screen You Press

Most mods this size have a tiny screen and three buttons. This one has a two inch colour screen you touch, and that is the thing people actually buy it for.

Why it matters behind a counter: a customer who can read the screen and poke at it will set their own wattage. One squinting at a two line display will hand it over the counter and ask you to do it, every time they want a change.

There is a button just above the fire bar that locks the screen so a pocket cannot change the setting. Worth showing every buyer, because an unlocked touchscreen in a jacket is the commonest complaint on devices like this.

The safety list on the chip is longer than most:

Cuts the puff off after eight seconds
Knows when no tank is fitted
Warns when the cells are low
Stops on a short circuit
Stops the cells draining too far

The fire bar is a long bar rather than a button, which suits anyone with stiff hands. Small thing, but it sells the device to a customer who struggles with a small button, and no other page mentions it. Other devices with this kind of loose airy draw sit in our sub-ohm kits.

Four Colours Shape SMOK G Priv 4 Vape Kit Bulk

SMOK made this in six colours. We hold four, and they are close to level:

Brown 110

Red 106

Blue 105

Grey 102

An even split works here, which is unusual. Most of what we sell has one colour running dry. Plan a SMOK G Priv 4 Vape Kit Bulk order in fours and you will not be waiting on anything.

There is a bigger point about quantity though. Two UK retailers now list this kit as discontinued. We are repeating what their pages say rather than claiming it ourselves, and it is worth a call to your rep before you commit. If it is true, the 423 units are the 423 units, and a second order at this price may not be there in three months.

That cuts both ways. A discontinued device with real stock behind it is a clean sale while it lasts. A discontinued device whose coils also dry up is a problem you hand your customer. Given we hold no Mini coils, a bulk order here is best sized to what you can shift in a season rather than a year. Everything else in this category sits under wholesale vape kits.

Loud, Airy And Thirsty

Three honest complaints, so your staff hear them from you first rather than from a customer.

1. It is noisy. The airflow on the Mini tank is very open and you can hear it. Fine for somebody who wants clouds. Wrong for anybody who wants to vape quietly at a desk.

2. The mouthpiece does not come off. It is a sleeve built into the top, not a tip you can swap. If your shop makes a few pounds selling fancy drip tips, you cannot do it on this one.

3. It drinks liquid. A 2ml tank at a hundred watts needs filling several times a day. Sell a bottle with it, every time.

And the weight. At 167 grams with cells in, this is a heavy thing in a pocket. Some customers love that and call it solid. Others put it back down. Let them hold one.

Counter Questions

1. Do batteries come with it?
No. The SMOK G Priv 4 Kit needs two 18650 cells and they are sold apart. Order a pack with every unit.

2. Which coils fit?
TFV18 Mini coils only, in 0.15, 0.2 or 0.33 ohm. Standard TFV18 coils are a different size and do not fit. We do not currently stock the Mini.

3. Is the tank legal here?
Yes. It is 2ml in Britain, which is the limit. The 6.5ml figure you may see belongs to the version sold outside the UK.

4. Is this right for someone giving up cigarettes?
No. It is a loose open draw at high power. Send a new ex smoker to a small pod kit and keep this for people who already vape this way.

5. What can I sell it for?
Shops here are asking £54.99 to £59.99 with VAT included. Work your own margin from our price and remember to check whether you were quoted before or after VAT.

6. How many colours are there?
Six exist. We hold four, in even numbers, so a SMOK G Priv 4 Kit Wholesale order splits cleanly.

7. How do I set the power?
On the screen, with your finger. Match it to the coil: around 100 watts for the 0.33, around 90 for the 0.15, around 60 for the 0.2.

8. Does the duty apply to this?
Not to the device. The £2.20 per ten millilitres falls on liquid, so the kit is taxed only through the bottle your customer buys to fill it.

9. Is it being discontinued?
Two UK sellers say so on their own pages. We cannot confirm it from the maker, so treat it as a reason to ask us about future supply before placing a large SMOK G Priv 4 Vape Kit Bulk order.
