Oxva XLIM Pro V3 replacement pods: you fill these yourself

That is the whole point, and it is what the version number is about. The V2 filled from the side, which meant pulling the pod out of the device every single time — fiddly in the street, worse in the cold, and a reliable way to get liquid on your fingers.

The V3 fills from the top, with the port sitting high enough that you can refill without removing the pod at all. That is the entire difference between the two generations, and the reason V3 is the one to buy.

Peel the plastic sticker off the base of a new pod before anything else — leaving it on is the most common reason a brand-new pod refuses to fire.
Push the pod into the device — it seats magnetically, so it should not need forcing.
Open the top fill port and add your liquid, stopping at the fill line rather than the brim.
Leave it three to five minutes so the cotton can absorb properly.
Vape. On XLIM Smart Output kits the device reads the pod and sets its own wattage.

Step four is the one people rush on a brand-new pod, and firing a dry coil produces a burnt note that usually will not clear afterwards. On refills after the first, when the cotton is already wet, about a minute is enough.

Underneath sits a five-layer anti-leak seal — Oxva's answer to the condensation that collects at the base of most pods and eventually finds its way onto the battery contacts. The pod body is clear, so the liquid level is visible without holding it up to the light.

Choosing a resistance — Box of 3

Every box contains three pods of one resistance. Four are available and they are genuinely different in feel: the number decides the draw, the wattage the device will run at, and which liquid suits it.

If you came off bars and want the same tight, cigarette-like draw, 1.2Ω with a 20mg nic salt is the closest match — that combination is what most switchers settle on and stay with. If you want vapour and a looser pull, 0.4 or 0.6 with a shortfill is the other end of the range.

The middle option, 0.8Ω, is the one to pick if you are genuinely unsure. It handles both nic salts and 50/50 shortfills without complaint and sits in the range of wattages almost every XLIM device supports.

The resistance is printed on the side of the coil itself. If you are replacing one that worked well, matching the number is more reliable than guessing from memory.

Which XLIM devices these fit

The V3 pod fits across the XLIM family: Pro, Pro 2, Pro 2 DNA, Pro 3, the standard Kit, SE, SE 2, SQ, SQ Pro, Go and Classic. That breadth is unusual — most brands change pod format every generation, which strands owners of older devices.

Two exceptions. The XLIM C uses a different cartridge entirely and will not take these. And the 0.4Ω version is limited to the XLIM Pro, Pro 2, SQ Pro and SE 2, because the lower-powered kits cannot drive it properly.

Check your device before choosing 0.4Ω. The other three resistances fit the range generally. If you do not own an XLIM at all, the Oxva XLIM Pro kit is the device these belong to — and the full Oxva pod range covers the Nexlim, VPrime and the other formats the brand runs alongside XLIM.

What to fill them with

The resistance decides the liquid rather than the other way round, and getting this backwards is the most common source of complaints about pods that are working perfectly well.

1.2Ω and 0.8Ω suit 10ml nic salts and 50/50 blends — thinner liquid, tighter draw, higher nicotine, lower power.
0.6Ω and 0.4Ω suit shortfills at lower nicotine, where the extra vapour is the point and 3mg is plenty.

Putting a thick high-VG shortfill in a 1.2Ω pod is the mistake that comes up most. The wick cannot draw liquid fast enough to keep the coil wet, so you get dry hits on a pod that is otherwise fine — and replacing the pod will not fix it, because the pod was never the problem.

The reverse is less damaging but still worth avoiding: a thin 50/50 nic salt in a 0.4Ω pod at 28W will taste harsh and burn through liquid quickly.

How long a pod actually lasts

One to three weeks for most people, and the range is that wide because the liquid matters more than the vaping does.

Dark, sweet liquids — desserts, custards, anything heavy on sucralose — caramelise on the coil and shorten its life considerably. A pod that would run three weeks on a light citrus might last five days on a dessert flavour. If you are getting through pods faster than you expect, the liquid is usually the reason rather than the hardware.

The coil is not removable. When flavour drops off, or the pod tastes muted no matter what you put in it, the pod itself is finished rather than the liquid being at fault. Buying three at a time is the practical response to that variability.

Refillable or prefilled — which you actually want

These are refillable. You buy liquid separately, and in exchange you control the flavour and the strength completely — including dropping to 10mg or 3mg, which sealed pods do not offer at all.

The trade is that you have to carry a bottle and remember to fill. If that sounds like more work than you want, sealed prefilled pods are the alternative — no filling, no choice of liquid, and a fixed 20mg. Refillable pods across the other brands covers what else uses this arrangement.

Cost is the other consideration. A refillable pod plus a bottle works out considerably cheaper per millilitre than sealed pods do, but only if you actually use it that way. The two approaches compared sets out honestly what each asks of you.

Which resistance should I choose?

Do these fit every XLIM device?
