This is the strangest thing on our shelf and you should know it before ordering either item.
The refill is 60p dearer than the complete device. Read that twice. A shop restocking a customer is paying more than a shop buying a brand new Elf Bar Af5000 Pod Kit with the battery included.

"No mess, no fiddling, no returns." You fill the tank by turning the device upside down for ten seconds. That is fiddling, and nobody can promise no returns.

"Legal to stock and sell without restriction." This one is simply wrong. An under eighteen cannot be sold a vaping product of any kind once the age rules in the Tobacco and Vapes Act start on 29 October 2026. A restriction that lands in a fortnight is still a restriction. The device is fine to stock, and that is the whole of what we should claim. At £17.99 a box this is one of the cheaper prefilled kits we carry. But the shelf is not the right comparison any more, and this is the part that matters most.
The AF5000 has been replaced by the AF5500, and the old stock is being cleared across the trade. We found a UK online shop advertising a box of ten AF5000 for £9.99 in its own listing title, which is a pound a device, against our £3.60. Two other UK sellers are clearing AF5500 kit at £4.99 and its refills at £3.99, both marked down from £8.99.
