Hyola Ultra 30K prefilled pods: two separate systems in one pack
The thing worth understanding first is that a pack is not one refill with two taps on it. It is two complete, independent refills sitting side by side.
Each flavour side has its own 2ml pod, its own mesh coil and its own 10ml container feeding it. Neither one draws from the other. Twist the mouthpiece and you are not switching a valve — you are switching to a different pod entirely.
That is why the puff figure works out the way it does: roughly 15,000 per side, 30,000 across the pair. And it is why one side running dry while the other still has weeks left in it is completely normal rather than a defect.
These are refills alone. The battery lives in the Ultra 30K kit, bought once and kept.
The capacity figure nobody agrees on
Hyola has shipped this pack in more than one build, and British retailers quote it differently as a result.
Most list two 2ml pods with two 10ml containers — 24ml. A handful list two 1ml pods with two 9ml containers — 20ml. At least one large retailer contradicts itself within a single page.
Rather than pick whichever suits, the useful answer is: check the pack you receive. What holds true across every build is the 30,000 rating, the dual-flavour twist, the dual mesh coils and the 20mg strength. The millilitres are the part that moves.
Ten to fifteen minutes before your first draw
This deserves its own heading because it is the single most common reason a new pack disappoints, and because the wait here is far longer than most pods ask for.
Two coils start bone dry. Liquid has to travel from each container into each pod and soak through the cotton before either side is ready. Fire it early and you get a scorched note that tends not to clear — and because there are two coils, rushing costs you both at once.
Assemble the pack, put the device down, and leave it alone for a quarter of an hour. On a refill meant to run for weeks, that is a cheap insurance policy.
Assembling it
- Lift the old pod assembly out of the device.
- Unwrap the new pods and containers and pull out every silicone bung — all four parts, not just the pods.
- Press each 2ml pod onto its matching container until it clicks.
- Slide both units into the device; magnets pull them into position.
- Wait ten to fifteen minutes.
- Rotate the mouthpiece to whichever side you want, then inhale.
Step two catches people out. There is a bung between each pod and its container, and leaving one in blocks that side completely — which reads as a faulty pod when it is nothing of the sort.

Mint is the only edition built around cooling on both sides. Worth knowing that the twist earns its keep least on that one, since there is little contrast to switch between.

Switching sides day to day
Pull the mouthpiece up slightly, rotate it half a turn, press it back until it clicks. Mechanical, instant, and impossible to set wrongly — there is no menu and no setting behind it.
Most people fall into a rhythm within a week: something lighter through the day, something sweeter or colder later. Because each side has its own coil, the one you are not using is not sitting hot and slowly stewing, which is what keeps the two tastes distinct across the life of the pack.
Against the other dual-flavour refills
Dual flavour is no longer rare at this capacity, and the mechanism differs between them — worth weighing if you are choosing a system rather than restocking one.

British law holds a nicotine pod to 2ml and a nicotine refill container to 10ml, at 20mg per ml. Straight answers
Why do the two sides empty at different rates?
Because each side is an independent pod with its own container. Whichever flavour you favour drains first. It is normal and does not affect the total.
Is it 24ml or 20ml?
Depends on the build. Most packs are two 2ml pods with two 10ml containers, making 24ml; some are two 1ml pods with two 9ml containers, making 20ml. Check the pack.
How long before I can vape a new pack?
Ten to fifteen minutes. Two dry coils need that long to saturate, and drawing sooner burns both.
How do I change flavour?
Lift the mouthpiece, rotate it 180 degrees, press it back until it clicks. Nothing else to do.
Can I pick the two flavours myself?
No. Each edition is a fixed pairing set by Hyola, and the two flavours are printed on the pack.
Will these fit any other Hyola device?
No. The Ultra 30K alone. Hyola runs separate pod formats across its range, including the Pro Max 8000.
Why does one side taste of nothing?
Usually a silicone bung left in place between that pod and its container. Take the pack out and check all four components.
Can I refill the containers?
No. All four parts are sealed and replaced together as a pack.
How long does a pack last?
Several weeks for most people across both sides, though how you split your use between them changes nothing about the total.
