A Look at the Uwell Crown Pod Kit
The Uwell Crown Pod Kit is the original 2020 refillable system with a built-in battery and integrated-coil cartridges. It is not a Crown tank kit or a later Crown B, D, M, S or X device.
The Slider Is on the Cartridge
A slider on each pod changes the air coming through the mouthpiece. Move it towards closed for a firmer mouth-to-lung pull, or open it for more air.
This is airflow control, not adjustable wattage. The device sets power for the inserted pod, up to 25W. There is no screen or power menu, despite No.1's adjustable-wattage search title.
Uwell Crown Pod Resistance Choices
Each original cartridge has a sealed coil:
| Original cartridge | Typical operation | Draw style |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0Ω | About 10–15W | Tighter MTL |
| 0.6Ω | About 18–25W | More open, restricted direct-lung |
These are complete pods, not loose coil heads. The UK version holds 2ml. Crown III tank coils and Crown X cartridges do not replace them.
Button Firing and Automatic Draw
The device can fire in two ways: draw on the mouthpiece or press the front Fire button. The Crown-shaped button sits above the battery light.
The magnetic cartridge attaches in either orientation.
Uwell Crown Colours
The four documented original finishes are Black, Grey, Blue and Red. Red can look pink in photos. These are catalogue colours, not confirmed stock.
No.1's selector has no readable colour names. Check the carton.

What the Three LED Colours Mean
The Fire-button light shows charge bands: green above 60%, blue at 30–60%, and red below 30%. It does not display an exact battery percentage.
If it stops firing, check the charge and contacts before replacing the pod.
Filling and Replacing the Original Pods
Pull off the pod mouthpiece to reach the filling opening. Put liquid into the fill port, not the nearby air hole. Close the mouthpiece and let a new pod soak.
Replace the whole Crown pod when its coil wears out. No.1's current Uwell replacement pod listings do not show a verified original Crown 2ml cartridge, so do not substitute a newer pod just because its brand matches.
Matching E-Liquid to the 1.0Ω Pod
UK reviewers used 50/50 liquid in the lower-power 1.0Ω MTL cartridge. No.1 lists Elfliq 50/50 nic salts, a bottled liquid type worth checking against the selected pod and label. Do not assume the same nicotine strength suits the higher-power 0.6Ω pod.
Check the Original Crown Trade Details
For Uwell Crown wholesale stock, confirm a sealed 2ml UK kit, both original pod resistances, actual colour and case quantity. Historical UK boxes contained the device, one pod of each resistance, Micro-USB cable and instructions; No.1's actual carton is unconfirmed. The Uwell pod kit collection is for finding devices, not evidence that later Crown spares fit.
Questions on the Original Crown
Can I switch from a 1.0Ω pod to a 0.6Ω pod without changing coils?
Yes. Replace the complete cartridge. Each Crown pod already contains its own sealed coil, so there is no separate coil to transfer.
Is the original Crown compatible with Crown X or Crown D replacement heads?
No verified compatibility exists. These later models use different cartridge and coil systems. Match parts to the original Crown Pod System.
Can the charging cable be USB-C?
Not for the original device's connection. Its port is Micro-USB. A cable from a newer Crown kit may have a different plug.
Is a 3ml Crown cartridge suitable for UK retail supply?
No. The UK tank and replacement-tank limit is 2ml. Check the actual pod supplied rather than relying on an international product photo.
What should I check if automatic draw stops working?
First check the battery light and that the pod is seated correctly. The Fire button is a separate activation method, but do not keep using the unit if it is damaged or wet.
