Working out the nicotine maths
One 10ml shot at 18mg into 50ml of 0mg liquid gives 60ml at 3mg. That is the standard combination and the one most regular vapers land on.
If you want 6mg you need two shots, which means decanting some liquid first — the bottle only has room for one. Shake for a good minute after adding; a shortfill that has not been mixed properly tastes thin and delivers unevenly.

Which device suits a 50/50 shortfill
The balanced ratio is the practical advantage. A 70/30 liquid needs a sub-ohm coil to wick properly and will struggle in a small pod; 50/50 does not have that problem.
It runs in sub-ohm tanks, in refillable pod kits, and in most starter hardware. That flexibility is why it is the safer buy if you own more than one device or are not certain what your kit takes.
What it will not do is fill a prefilled pod system — those use sealed pods and cannot be topped up by hand. If that is what you own, prefilled replacement pods are the correct product instead.
Storage and shelf life
Upright, out of direct sunlight, at room temperature. Heat and light are what degrade e-liquid over time, and a bottle left on a sunny windowsill will darken and taste flatter within weeks.
Once a nic shot is added, the mix is best used within a few months. Unmixed 0mg liquid keeps considerably longer.
Where shortfills sit under UK rules
