About the SMOK RPM160 Pod Kit
The SMOK RPM160 Pod Kit is a refillable pod mod from SMOK's original RPM160 series. It uses a removable cartridge and button controls, but has a larger two-cell body than small, built-in-battery pod kits. The original kit and the later RPM160 V9 version use different coil systems.
Two Cells, One Battery Door
Power comes from two external 18650 batteries. They are not listed in SMOK's standard kit contents. Both cells fit beneath the battery door.
Use a suitable matched pair with intact wraps. Do not mix old and new cells. For separate cells, No.1 lists 18650 vape batteries; check their genuine specifications and suitability before selection.
The Original RPM160 Coil System
The standard RPM160 cartridge takes a dedicated RPM160 Meshed 0.15Ω replaceable head. SMOK supplies two of these with the original kit, not an assortment of regular RPM and RPM 2 coils.
A typical published working band for this head is 40–90W. That is not the mod’s 160W ceiling. Confirm the printed range on the actual head and begin at the lower end.
Wattage and Screen Controls
A Fire key activates the device, while separate UP/DOWN keys adjust wattage. The 0.96-inch TFT screen shows the setting and battery readings for the two cells.
Three quick presses of Fire lock firing. Press UP and DOWN together to lock the power setting without treating that as a firing lock. An eight-second firing cut-off is specified.
RPM160 Colours and Finish Names
SMOK's product page advertises eight colour finishes. Six repeatedly identified original finishes are:

The names of the remaining two maker options were not confirmed from readable documentation. No.1 shows a colour selector without readable values, so none of these finishes is being presented as available stock.

Original and V9 Pods Are Different
SMOK also made an RPM160 V9 cartridge. It uses the V9 Meshed 0.15Ω head and has an adjustable airflow ring beneath the pod. SMOK also identifies TFV8 Mini coil compatibility for that V9 pod.
Do not apply those V9 details to the original cartridge. Nor does the original RPM160 coil become a regular RPM or RPM 2 coil merely because of its name. The SMOK pod kit collection contains other devices with different cartridge fittings.
Top Filling and Coil Replacement
On the original RPM160 cartridge, the fill plug is at the top. Open it, add suitable liquid without flooding the air channel, close it firmly and give a fresh head time to soak before firing. This low-resistance setup is not a reason to pair it automatically with 10mg or 20mg nicotine salts.
For wear or damage, replace the original head with the correct RPM160 replacement coils. No.1’s empty-pod listing conflicts on capacity, quantity and fit. It is not a verified UK spare.
Confirm the GB 2ml Edition
SMOK records a GB-notified original RPM160 2ml kit and a matching 2ml cartridge. The manufacturer's other edition holds 7.5ml. UK rules limit tanks and replacement tanks to 2ml; a larger empty pod cannot simply be treated as a lawful UK retail spare.
SMOK's standard 2ml pack contains the device, one 2ml pod, two original 0.15Ω heads, a Micro-USB cable and instructions. It does not list two batteries or bottled liquid.
Check the RPM160 Trade Listing
Before preparing an RPM160 wholesale listing, confirm the physical GB 2ml edition, colour, original versus V9 pod, included parts and outer carton count. Do not assume the seller has the original cartridge merely from the kit name.
RPM160 Setup FAQs
Was a rebuildable RDTA pod also made for this device?
Yes. SMOK describes a separate RPM160 RDTA pod, but its published 8ml version is not a verified UK 2ml accessory.
Can I fit only one 18650 battery?
No. It is designed for two properly paired 18650 cells.
Is the V9 airflow ring fitted to every RPM160 pod?
No. SMOK describes that adjustable ring on the later V9 pod, not the standard original cartridge.
Does Micro-USB mean the batteries are included?
No. The cable is included, but the two cells are separate.
Is the eight-colour catalogue also No.1's stock list?
No. No.1’s available colour choices cannot be read and need confirmation.
Does the manufacturer notification prove current UK stock is compliant?
No. The original 2ml version is listed in SMOK's GB records, but the physical seller batch still needs checking.
